Remarkably, when Anthony passed away in 2012, the elephants traveled to his home and stood vigil for two days, seemingly to pay their respects to the man who had shown them compassion and care.    #2 Dophins Rescue A Group Of Divers In 2013, a pod of dolphins saved a group of divers from a shark attack. Mr. Howes stated that the dolphins "started to herd us up; they pushed all four of us together by doing tight circles around us." He explained that when he attempted to break away from the protective group, two of the bigger dolphins herded him back. Her bravery and determination helped coordinate a rescue, and she was awarded the French Croix de Guerre for her heroism.      #4 Scarlett, The Cat In 1996, a mother cat became a hero when she rescued her five kittens from a burning building in Brooklyn, NY. Despite being severely burned herself, Scarlett carried each of her kittens out of the blaze, one by one. Her selfless act of bravery earned her widespread admiration and a loving home for her and her kittens.      #5 Hachiko, The Loyal Dog Hachiko, an Akita dog from Japan, has become a symbol of loyalty. In the 1920s, Hachiko would wait at the Shibuya train station for his owner, Professor Ueno, to return from work. Even after Ueno's sudden death, Hachiko continued to wait at the station every day for nearly ten years.
