Remember during Covid, that however crazy the United States became, Australia was always much worse?
Apparently that's just going to be the general pattern in everything from now on.

An Australian court upheld a landmark decision for a transgender woman on Friday, ruling that her exclusion from a female-only app because she appeared to be a man amounted to an act of discrimination.
The Full Federal Court of Australia also doubled damages against the Giggle for Girls app and its founder and CEO, Sall Grover, saying that the blocking of transgender woman Roxanne Tickle's account was direct discrimination. A lower court found in 2024 that it was an act of indirect discrimination.

You will surely be shocked to learn that the AI identified that person as a man. Tickle managed to join anyway, but was removed seven months later when it was discovered he was a man.
The app, Giggle for Girls, was created by feminist screenwriter Sall Grover, who said:
"I'm being taken to federal court by a man who claims to be a woman because he wants to use a woman-only space I created. There isn't a woman in the world who'd have to take me to court to use this woman-only space. It takes a man for this case to exist."
She said further:
"It is a legal fiction that Tickle is a woman. His birth certificate has been altered from male to female, but he is a biological man, and always will be. We are taking a stand for the safety of all women's-only spaces, but also for basic reality and truth, which the law should reflect."
Grover was cross-examined by Tickle's lawyer, who demanded to know:
Even where a person who was assigned male at birth transitions to a woman by having surgery, hormones, gets rid of facial hair, undergoes facial reconstruction, grows their hair long, wears makeup, wears female clothes, describes themselves as a woman, introduces themselves as a woman, uses female changing rooms, changes their birth certificate – you don’t accept that is a woman?
She correctly said no, since the differences between men and women are more mystical than anything chemicals can alter, and moreover the items the lawyer enumerated are what Aristotle would call accidents of being a woman (a woman who doesn't have long hair, doesn't wear makeup, has short hair, etc., is still a woman, and a man who does have these things is still a man).
This is how the left operates, though: what begins as an appeal for compassion becomes a crowbar that pries its way into every nook and cranny of society, until no aspect of law or culture has been spared the revolution.
I cannot fix these problems, dear reader. Best I can do is build communities in which we help each other navigate crazy societies and flourish and prosper in spite of them.
