🇪🇺 Trump threatens 25 percent tariffs on European cars and trucks. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose a 25 percent tariff on automobiles from the European Union, accusing the bloc of violating the Turnberry Deal trade agreement. A White House official pointed to auto trade barriers, digital regulations, carbon taxes, and other issues as evidence that the EU has not lived up to the deal. The Turnberry Deal, signed in Scotland last year with the European Commission president, set a 15 percent tariff on European goods and called for the EU to buy $750 billion in American energy and invest $600 billion in the US. |
The EU had previously frozen the agreement after the Supreme Court struck down Trump's authority to negotiate it under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Research suggests American consumers would likely bear most of the cost, with the average monthly car payment already at $752 and the average loan rate nearing 10 percent. |
🔪 TPUSA condemns TikTok trend using Charlie Kirk assassination audio. A viral TikTok trend is using audio from Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk's final moments before his assassination — mouthing his last words and mimicking shooting gestures before switching into prom attire. TPUSA condemned the trend in a statement, calling it "grotesque and dehumanizing" and demanding the audio be removed from TikTok. |
🪖 Trump plans to withdraw far more than 5,000 troops from Germany. After the Pentagon announced 5,000 soldiers would be withdrawn from bases in Germany over the coming year, President Trump said the actual number will be far higher. The move follows criticism from German Chancellor Friedrich Merz over the White House's Iran strategy. Trump has long argued that America essentially underwrites Germany's defense while Berlin partners economically with America’s enemies, Russia and China. |
🚔 Kash Patel touts “generational” shift at the FBI. In a letter to FBI staff, Director Kash Patel claimed the bureau has completed a "generational" overhaul that relocated more than 1,000 agents and personnel from Washington, DC, to field offices across the country. Patel said the reforms cut over $300 million in spending, expanded artificial intelligence tools for processing tips and identifying threats, and created a new multiagency mission center focused on domestic terrorism. |

Is Tucker Carlson the Antichrist? |
No, he’s just extremely dishonest. |
The New York Times released a sit-down interview with Tucker Carlson in which several moments made the rounds on social media, but one of them in particular highlights the former Fox News host’s dishonesty. |
The interviewer pressed Carlson on suggesting that Donald Trump could be the Antichrist. Carlson denied ever saying it, saying he wouldn’t have ever said it because he doesn’t really know what the Antichrist is. The reporter then quoted his own words back to him, later adding a clip from his own show in which he said, “Could this be the Antichrist?” in a monologue about Trump. Carlson still rejected it, insisting the words “never left my lips.” |
There are many more moments like this from the interview, too. In a sober setting, Carlson recognizes the wacky things he regularly says and distances himself from them. But when reading from a teleprompter for his podcast, he will truly say anything that garners outrage and viral clips. The interview is worth a watch to see how Carlson disrespects his audience and, well, the truth. |
