When it's too hot or too humid, that system falls behind. Heat builds up faster than your body can release it, your core temperature climbs, your heart rate follows, and a pace that should feel easy starts to feel much more challenging. 

Here are a few ways to help your body release heat faster.

The Ice Bandana: Simple, and it works

Fill the zippered pouch with ice, tie it around your neck, and keep moving. The neck carries major blood vessels close to the surface, so cooling there lowers how hot you feel faster than almost anywhere else on the body. The slow trickle of meltwater down your back doesn't hurt either.
