Dear Friends,

Earlier this year we provided food for Iranian Christian families during a very difficult time. Last month we distributed our first 25,000 copies of The Real Story of Jesus illustrated storybooks to instruct new believers and disciple them on how to share Jesus.

We are regularly in contact with house church leaders and know how much of an encouragement our ministry partnership has been.

I also regularly receive hate mail for our work in Iran, I think more than in any other country we work in. And to be clear, I do not take a political stance. We assess the situation, speak with underground church leaders, and ask God to guide us in our ministry activities to support our courageous brothers and sisters in this Islamic stronghold.

Today I am launching the next phase of our ministry in Iran. I have committed to printing 50,000 copies of The Real Story of Jesus in comic book form in Farsi. These will be used specifically for evangelism. So many Iranians have turned their backs on Islam and are looking for the Truth.

While Christians in Iran still face real danger, the turmoil of war has created unexpected moments of openness. Even now, our brothers and sisters are courageously sharing the Gospel whenever opportunities arise.

Raising funds for 50,000 copies is a big ask since we are not a large ministry. We need a total of $100,000, which will pay for secret printing and distribution and includes funds for emergency assistance for Christians who are facing an imminent threat from the war.

While it is a big ask for this Sunday, it only equates to $2 per copy—$2 to help us fight a war for souls in Iran.

Persia (modern-day Iran) played an important role in the Bible. In Daniel 10, an angel explained that the “prince of the kingdom of Persia” opposed him for 21 days, delaying the delivery of a message to Daniel. Many interpreters understand this prince to be a high-ranking demonic power influencing the Persian Empire. The archangel Michael came to assist in the conflict, enabling the angel to finally reach Daniel with the message.

Many also believe Persia will be among the nations aligned with Gog and Magog in the last days, based on Ezekiel 38, where Persia is specifically named as part of the coalition that comes against Israel.

One thing we know is that the Spirit of God is moving in Iran today. Despite intense persecution, the church is growing rapidly and becoming a center of Kingdom growth in the Middle East. I believe revival will come to the region—and God will use Iran as part of that awakening before Jesus returns.

I also know Islam has failed its people, and the underground Christians in Iran are willing to risk their lives to share the Gospel. They are simply asking for the tools.

I can assure you that our network in Iran has been very trustworthy and efficient with every project we have done with them. We have been working with the same network of underground house churches, and their leaders, for years and we have watched them double and even triple in size!
