🇨🇺 Conservative journalist nearly detained while documenting Cuba. Independent journalist Nick Shirley, who rose to prominence covering widespread Somali fraud in Minnesota, said he was almost taken hostage while filming Cuba's humanitarian crisis under communism. Upon landing, Cuban authorities seized his cameras except his iPhone and deployed intelligence agents to tail him to his hotel, where they waited outside. Shirley was allowed entrance into the country with a journalistic visa. |
Shirley managed to flee the island but noted the situation in Cuba is "much worse than anyone knows." His trip came after President Trump announced plans for a "new dawn" for Cuba at a recent Turning Point USA rally. |
💰 Senate GOP proposes $1 billion for White House ballroom security. Senate Republicans introduced a bill allocating $1 billion specifically to the security aspects of the White House East Wing ballroom project. Following the recent assassination attempt at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Trump emphasized the ballroom's importance, noting it would be "Militarily Top Secret" with "every highest level security feature" and located inside White House gates rather than in vulnerable external venues. |
🗣️ Justice Alito rebukes Ketanji Brown Jackson. In a critical opinion accompanying a procedural order, Justice Samuel Alito rebuked Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson for dissenting against allowing Louisiana to quickly redraw its unconstitutional congressional map before the May 16 primaries. Alito called her claims "trivial at best" and "baseless and insulting," noting she was the lone dissent even among liberal justices. |
💊 RFK Jr. targets overuse of psychiatric medication, especially among kids. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unveiled an initiative addressing what he calls the "overuse" of psychiatric medications, particularly among children. The program emphasizes informed consent, shared decision-making, and alternative treatments like therapy, nutrition, and exercise. Kennedy stressed patients aren't being told to stop medications, but rather ensuring they have full information to make decisions with their doctors. |

EDITOR’S NOTE |
I googled: difference between a sociopath vs. psychopath |
After reading the results, I don't think it even matters. Democrat officials, numerous left-leaning news outlets, and even the 2024 movie The Premiere are all promoting Hasan Piker — and whether he's a sociopath or a psychopath, the future he wants for us is scary. |
I spent way too much time going down this rabbit hole, and I put it all in the essay below because it’s important to know who and what he is. |
Click here to read it. Share it. Leave a comment. |
(For those wondering: "psychopaths are born with biological, neurological differences resulting in calculated, cold, and charming behavior. Sociopaths develop traits through environmental factors (trauma/abuse), acting impulsively, erratically, and with 'hot-headed' outbursts.") |
