Hi,
What a stage today, long and tough.
Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost) soloed to the win on Stage 18 into Orcières-Merlette. 185 km, five categorized climbs, close to 3,900 meters of climbing, finishing on a 7km wall at altitude. First of three straight Alpine days.
A day like this is lactate management from the first climb to the last. Which is exactly why we keep thinking about the broccoli.
At the Milan-Cortina Olympics, the Wall Street Journal sent reporters to find out why athletes were drinking it. The headline: "Olympians Can Eat All the Pasta in Italy. So Why Are They Drinking Broccoli?" The answer was Nomio.
Cross-country skiers, cyclists, and runners use it to lower blood lactate during hard efforts — the stuff that sets your legs on fire when you're deep in the red. The WSJ found it already widespread in Nordic skiing in Europe.
Then they quoted the athletes. Norwegian Olympian Einar Hedegart talked about the good races and hard sessions he's stacked with it. Emil Iversen, a 2026 gold medalist, said, "I think maybe it helps me just recover faster in the small breaks we have." On the taste, he said it's "better than Jägermeister, for sure."
That last quote maps straight onto today. A mountain stage isn't one effort. It's five climbs with short, brutal recoveries in between. Clear lactate faster in those windows, and you're a different rider on the final ramp. Riders take it 3 hours before the start, so it's working the moment the road tilts up.
Each jar holds just under 6 pounds of organic broccoli sprouts concentrated into a single shot.
The proof keeps stacking. David Roche, our personal guinea pig, reports better workouts on it. Cole Hocker set the 5K world record using it.
Our HYROX pros swear it helps with the burn when they're facing 100 wall balls at the end of the race.
Here's what the WSJ left out: we're the exclusive U.S. retailer, and we can't keep it in stock. They make it in Sweden. We get four pallets every two weeks (as fast as they can produce it) and it's usually gone within 48 hours of landing.
We just got our shipment in yesterday, and today only, you can save 10%.
How we use it: 3 hours before a hard session. Timing matters, not one hour out, at least two. Some athletes take it after training for recovery too, and that seems to work. We take one a day when we remember.
The founder, Oskar, put it best: "We sell it because it works, not because it tastes good."
If you've wondered what Olympic skiers are using to recover between efforts, this is the window. Grab your 10% off before it's gone, based on how fast this moves, we'll be sold out again by the weekend.
